A complex of medieval fortifications in Strzelce Krajeńskie. This complex consists of city walls, the Mill Gate and the Prison Tower. The medieval fortification complex in Strzelce Krajeńskie is one of the best preserved in Poland. After the medieval town was founded in 1272-1290, Strzelce was surrounded by defensive walls made of rough fieldstone. A 1640 m long wall with 36 preserved shell towers has survived to this day. The Mill Gate – one of the two former city gates. It was built in the first half of the 15th century. The gate is an element of the medieval fortification system of the town. It is made of brick, has four storeys and a pointed archway.
