Weekend in the Rzeczpospolita Ptasia

The Rzeczpospolita Ptasia is not only a very attractive area of floodplains in the Warta Mouth, but most of all it is a bird enthusiasts club associating already over 3400 holders of original passports issued in Słońsk.
There are 6 marked trails with a total length of 72 km in the Rzeczpospolita Ptasia.
Marked "bird" walking trails lead through picturesque and sometimes quite desolate areas of the Warta Mouth Landscape Park. Open spaces of meadows and pastures separated by canals and old riverbeds, grazing herds of cows and horses and small tree clusters, which are often the only traces of old settlements, are typical elements of the landscape of the lower Warta Valley. Each trail is named after a species of bird that can be seen along the route. The Gęgawa, Darkacz, Kani and Dudek trails are marked as footpaths, but are also accessible to cyclists, although they lead along unpaved roads. The Dzięcioł trail is a nature and education trail leading through forest nature reserves. Zimorodek trail is a canoe trail on the Postomia River and old riverbeds of Warta.
An additional attraction for geocaching enthusiasts are the caches located along the trails.
