In 1786 the Wiechlice estate was bought by Jerzy Zygmunt Neumen, who initiated the construction of the current palace complex.
The founder was not of noble origin. The son of a peasant from Wiechlice, thanks to his hard work and undoubtedly great business sense, administering numerous estates, including Wiechlice estate, made a fortune enabling him to buy Wiechlice in 1786 and in the following years several other villages.
The time of palace construction is determined by two dates. The first one is dated 1790 and the second is dated 1798. Jerzy Zygmunt bought Wiechlice 10 years before his death in 1796. The construction works he undertook in Wiechlice including not only the manor but also the whole complex of farm buildings did not allow him to finish the works completely. That is why in his will there are provisions concerning construction of the Wiechlice manor house. Krystian Willhelm continued works started by his father and erected most of the farm buildings. Work on farm buildings was continued by another owner of Wiechlice – Jerzy Zygmunt’s grandson and it was during his time when the whole establishment got its final shape. Reconstruction of the palace took place in the third quarter of the 19th century.
The interiors are enriched with stucco and classicist decor. There are many species of trees and shrubs in the small park established together with the palace construction, dominated by oak, linden and acacia. At the edge of the park stands the gardener’s house, built in 1855 according to Thomas’s design. The farm buildings date from the late 18th and early 19th century. Around 1890, a risalit with a representative staircase was added to the garden elevation, and a portico to the façade. The building is made of brick, set on a rectangle (15x30m), with a quadrilateral risalit on the western side, one-storey, covered with a mansard roof with domes.
Stylish interiors and rich history of Wiechlice Palace, where Prussian, Tsarist and French armies with Napoleon at the head resided, make this place unique on the map of Polish tourist attractions.

In 2007, the new owner – Zbigniew Czmuda bought the building and decided to rebuild it, putting all his heart and work into it to faithfully recreate its former beauty according to the old German building art based on natural mineral components.
In the renovated buildings of the Palace and the outbuilding there are lime plasters, walls are covered with lime paints, windows and doors were painted with ecological paints and wooden floors are natural oils and waxes.
