The oldest wooden church in Poland

Wooden Church of Saints Simon and Jude Thaddeus Apostles in Kosieczyno comes from the mid-14th century. It is probably the oldest wooden church in Poland. The origin of this church was dated back to 1408, but according to the latest dendrochrononological research it was found to be a bit older and was established to have been built in 1389. Since 2006 the church is undergoing a thorough renovation. The existing church was built on a rectangular plan, with a straight closed chancel on the eastern side, extended by a sacristy, probably added in the 17th century.
