Lubusz Military Museum in Zielona Góra seated in Drzonowo is the only museum in Lubusz with a historical-military profile. The museum collects and provides visitors with museum exhibits related to the military from the Middle Ages to the present day. The Museum was established as an independent institution in 1985. The museum pride is its outdoor collection of heavy military equipment and aircraft (about 150 exhibits – it is the second such valuable collection of museum military equipment in Poland after the Museum of the Polish Army in Warsaw), exhibited in a historic park (the only such situation in Poland). In addition, there are many unique exhibits, such as a unique machine gun "Błyskawica" in the museum seat – a historic classicist manor house from the beginning of the 19th century. The museum offers a comprehensive service in the form of visiting the permanent outdoor exhibition and the pavilion (the most valuable exhibits related to the Second World War are gathered in the pavilion). The museum organizes many very popular outdoor events: Military Picnic on the occasion of the Polish Army Day, Bicycle Rally of Independence connected with the celebration of Independence Day, Night of Museums, May Day at the Museum, which gather several thousand guests. For several years we have been trying to "enliven" the exhibition by launching our exhibits. So far, we have launched: T-72 tank, rocket launcher and radar station KRUG, armored personnel carrier BTR 152, UAZ-469B car, motorcycle K-750, which make our events more attractive.
