LUBUSAN VOTE for "Tree of the Year 2021"

We invite you to cast your vote for the black poplar from Słońsk, which is among 16 finalists from all over Poland vying for the title of "Tree of the Year 2021"! The contest is organized by the Gaia Club. This is a unique opportunity for this impressive size (36 meters high and 700 cm of trunk circumference) and charming natural monument to become one of the most recognized trees in all of Poland. Our 150-year-old poplar is the last aged specimen of this species in the Warta Mouth. It is an excellent symbol of the history of these lands, when black poplars, together with willows, alders and ash trees, formed extensive riparian forests along the numerous riverbeds of the Warta River.
