Kożuchów – fortified walls unique in Poland

Former fortifications of Kożuchów consisted of two rings of walls and are among the best preserved in Poland. Even today we can admire almost completely preserved parts of the former fortifications (walls and moat) and the layout of the old town. The castle, the parish church and many of Kożuchów’s houses have retained their Gothic traces, which are not difficult to find. Around the walls it is possible to find traces of the old moat, and in the Krosno Gate, one of the three former entrances to the town, visitors can discover the history of old Kożuchów.
