Henryk Von Reuss Palace in Trzebiechów

The palace was built by Prince von Reuss around 1880.
The palace-park complex of Trzebiechów in its present form was built in the style of French residential architecture of the 18th century. It has not only the architecture characteristic for this type of establishment, but also the entire layout with the palace in the center and gardens, square and courtyard arranged on its axes. Also, the shape of facade is a provenience of the French Baroque residential architecture.

The palace is set on an "L" shape, with quadrilateral towers at the northern side and in the southern wing. The disintegrated structure consists of four different segments, different in form and size. Vertical accents are created by tower profiles and elevated over the ridge cover of pseudo risalits. The entire building has a cellar, two-storey in both wings, covered with mansard roofs, and the towers with tent roofs. The thirteen-axis facades of the main part are segmented with higher apparent risalits protruding from the front and rusticated pilasters, and horizontally – with a plinth part and profiled cornices – cordon and crowning. The symmetrically arranged rectangular windows, except for the ryzalits where they are semicircular (first floor), have key frames and lintels in the form of a profiled cornice section. The main entrance in the tri-axial part of the ryzalite facade and the windows flanking it are visually framed by pilasters. In the second floor, above the entrance, there is a balcony and three porte-fenêtre windows framed by pilasters. The third story is topped with a picturesque protrusion, raised to the level of the risalits’ cupola covering. The garden elevation is shaped similarly with the exception of the upper part, where there is one large window.
