Strzelce Krajeńskie – a town located 26 km north-east of Gorzów Wielkopolski.
The area of the commune is 318 km² and it is inhabited by nearly 17 thousand people. The most important transport routes are: national road nr 22 and provincial road nr 156.
Thanks to its location on the border of the Pomeranian upland and the Noteć River valley, the region has extremely varied terrain: hills of moraines reaching heights of up to 124 m above sea level. The natural wealth of the region are huge forest complexes, including large fragments of the Drawsko and Gorzowska Forests, and protected areas – the Gorzowski Landscape Park and the Drawa National Park, where rare species of plants, animals and birds can be found. Among this richness of nature, numerous lakes and streams sparkle with blue water. Several lakes with an area of over 50 ha: Słowa (62.1 ha), Dankowskie (81.9 ha) and Lipie (174 ha).

In the area of Strzelce Krajeńskie commune there are 19 marked trails with a total length of 202 km. The trails connect naturally attractive places with interesting flora, natural monuments and valuable architectural monuments. In forest areas are marked hiking and biking trails, stopping places and parking lots.

In the commune can be found nearly 300 monuments of material culture, e.g. sacral and defensive buildings, palaces, manor houses, farm buildings, parks, and urban layouts – e.g. the town of Strzelce Krajeńskie, one of the best preserved medieval urban layouts in Lubusz Voivodeship in the form of defensive walls almost on the entire perimeter with towers and gates.

Canoeing – a varied canoeing trail "Towards the Baltic Sea" along the Lipie, Słowa and Osiek lakes, then along the Drawa, Noteć, Warta, Odra rivers to the Baltic Sea. It is currently the longest water route in Poland after Masuria. The route allows to reach the section of the waterway "Wielka Pętla Wielkopolska" – E-70 (Noteć – Warta). The system of lakes, passes, canals and rivers is a unique trail, which values are recognized by an increasing number of lovers of nature and rest in the bosom of nature.

Free diving – crystal clear water of Lipie Lake (42 m deep) is especially suitable for diving. Diving enthusiasts can rent equipment. Diving courses and trainings are organized. The diving base has an underwater infrastructure that ensures discovering the mysteries of the depths of Lipie Lake.

Fishing – a large number of lakes located between the moraine hills is an attractive fishery, rich in fish (whitefish, vendace, roach, bream, crucian carp, tench, catfish, perch, pike, zander, eel).

Hunting – forests are the natural environment for game and birds. Forest areas of the commune abound in different species of animals. In the forests you can see: deer, roe deer, hares, wild boars and foxes. There are three hunting clubs in the commune.
